Lanzini

Superb goal yesterday but eclipsed by Carroll's. A great run and control in the 86th minute with a sublime finish, the guy never stops running and is a great asset to the team. Long may he be a Hammer!

Good, hope it's not the Payet style contract he's on, where he thinks he can leave at the drop of a hat?

I knew Lanzini would score just like I knew Antonio would miss when through on goal against Man U. Lanzini has that composure that's missing from Antonio.

All to do with Coutinho eventually leaving Anfield for Spain.
Just a hunch.

Got this horrible feeling that one day, he'll be a Liverpool player.

Agreed Lanzini was excellent against Palace - closer to his outstanding form of last season.
We also shouldn't forget how well Lanzini and Payet linked up together - probably the most beautiful combo I've seen in all my time watching WHU and one of the saddest things about DP's departure.
Lanzini may well play the "Payet role" in future but this also shows that he thrives playing alongside technically gifted players. So hopefully we can bring in a couple those to get the best out of him!

What a player.
Not long for us though I feel... He could play for any team in the division.

Superb at his best and seems like a good lad too. No doubt his agent will be negotiating an increase soon,so let's just hope he doesn't change.

If Messi had scored his or Carrolls goal then the media would be all over it.
Maybe not Messi as he does it most week's, but certainly Augero or Ibrahimovic and co

Payet being a cunt could be amazing for Lanzini.
Up to you now Manuel Son - go show us what you're made of.

DEFINITELY in the shadow of Payet to a degree
nice to think we may bag 30m for payet and then have an already made replacement that is a lot younger

That's the type of one on one you seem missed all the time.
Took it into an angle where you'd expect him to use his weaker foot and ended up finishing it sublimely with his right foot.
I'll be honest I wasn't convinced he would score but it was a super goal.

I did say in a different way. He ran a long way had two defenders closing in and lifted the ball over an advancing keeper. Seen a lot of those missed.
